]]>A subsidiary of Tiidal Gaming, Sportsflare claims to be “focused on creating new betting experiences with technology for the esports era.”
Tiidal Gaming will sell all of Sportsflare’s shares to Entain under the terms of the agreement, though several conditions must be met for the transaction to be completed.
One of the major conditions is Tiidal needs their shareholders to approve the acquisition.
Tiidal Gaming CEO Thomas Hearne commented on the acquisition news and explained why the company chose to sell.
“I am incredibly proud of what the Sportsflare team has done over the last year,” Hearne said.
“Given the capital markets environment, we believed it was best to find a great home for Sportsflare in order to maximise value for Tiidal shareholders.
“Sportsflare will be a great fit with Entain’s strong presence in the industry and our board of directors is confident that Sportsflare joining Entain is the best long-term solution for its employees and partners.”
As a part of the transaction Tiidal has secured a loan agreement with Ladbrokes Group Finance, which is one of Entain’s affiliate brands.

]]>This is the first significant move from Sportsflare in the esports industry since the appointment of Tom Hearne, formerly of theScore, as the company’s CEO.
As part of the agreement, Sportsflare will have access to live data for a variety of esports games, including League of Legends, CS: GO, and Dota 2.
The array of esports odds products offered by Sportsflare, including pre-match/in-play odds, bet builder and player proposition markets, will be developed using the data.
Amir Mirzaee, COO and Managing Director at Bayes Esports, said: “We are very happy to welcome the aspiring team at Sportsflare to the trusted circle of select Bayes Esports data partners. We’ve observed them grow for a while and are looking forward to having this dynamic team push both innovation and integrity for esports betting service globally.
“It is companies like these that push the envelope of bringing new and fun ways to engage with a target group that is younger and more dynamic than in all of traditional sports. We’re happy to equip them with industry leading esports live data and tools to realise their vision.”
Bayes Esports has also created the BEDEX esports data hub, which gathers and publishes authorized data from live esports competitions to betting sites, broadcasting teams, media partners, and esports organizations.
Sportsflare’s services will be offered to its client network in order to leverage the live data provided by Bayes Esports. The firm’s betting industry partners include major players such as Pinnacle, Bet365, and Entain.
“We are pleased to sign a licensing agreement with Bayes Esports,” said Max Polaczuk, Chief Technology Officer of Tiidal Gaming.
“Odds providers often rely on unofficial and unreliable data scraping and we aim to fill that void through this agreement. Given the robustness of Bayes Esports’ data, we will be able to provide sportsbooks with an enhanced end-to-end offering that is integrated with high quality data, which enables us to offer a more competitive product. We look forward to working with Bayes Esports and integrating their esports data with our odds offerings.”
According to the news article, the deal will make it possible to develop future generations of in-play esports betting items like ‘flash’ markets. In the betting industry, flash odds are specials that are only offered for a short period of time in major markets and events.
