SKADE vs FATE CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

CSGO Odds: SKADE -416.67 at BetOnline | FATE +269 at BetOnline When: March 18, 2021 at 09:00 CET Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/TEBtv)

FATE have made quite a few roster changes since the turn of the year, most recently by signing Kostadin “rafftu” Turbinov and Kalin “KalubeR” Еrenditzov, who joined the team just a couple of weeks back. The Bulgarian duo have made an instant impact on the team, helping FATE win their first match of the year against Team Singularity (2-1) after they lost all of the previous 11.

SKADE have been doing better than their regional rivals, but not by much. After a streak of 11 consecutive wins in February, SKADE have managed to win only two out of their last seven and enter this match on a four-game losing streak.

We would normally side with SKADE, but not at these odds. In most of their previous meetings, SKADE and FATE produced close affairs, which rarely ended in a clean sweep and we don’t believe that will change here. FATE should win at least one map.

The latest CS:GO betting odds suggest this should be a very one-sided match in favour of Lyngby Vikings and we can’t argue with that. Astralis Talent might have the right logo and brand recognition, but this is still a team of rookie players with little experience in playing against a proper professional team.

These teams last met just over a week ago during Elgiganten Ligaen Season 16, when Lyngby Vikings won 16-6. They have since played 10 games and won all but three against BLINK (10-16), Tricked Esports (0-2) and Dignitas (0-2), so they should be in good form.
Although we don’t believe Vikings are a good team, they’re still facing an amateur squad that not only lacks quality and experience but have also benched their in-game leader Mathias “R0nic” Pinholt on Friday.

Copenhagen Flames enter this match with a 6-4 record from their last 10 outings, which includes losses against Lyngby Vikings (0-2), AGF Esport (0-2), GODSENT (0-2) and an amateur team Aalborg Rebels (18-22). Despite CHP’s shaky record, they’re still priced as $1.54 favourites with the top esports betting apps over Tricked Esports for no apparent reason.

Tricked Esports haven’t been doing much better than CPH of late, but they also haven’t looked any worse. They hold the same 6-4 record in their last 10, however, they’ve done better against teams CPH lost against – winning 2-0 against AGF and Lyngby Vikings, and forcing GODSENT to three maps (1-2).

Although results against the same opponents don’t mean much since they don’t take into account the stylistic matchup, you just can’t pass on siding with Tricked at these odds.

ESB’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive betting predictions focus on two Snow Sweet Snow #1 fixtures, where 4Glory Esports, FATE Esports, Sangal Esports and SKADE will play out their first games of the tournament. Here are our betting tips and best odds for Thursday (January 21) matches.

SKADE and 4Glory Esports will make their first steps in the Snow Sweet Snow #1 on Thursday when they clash in the opening fixture of Balkan Group. It will mark the first time these sides will meet on the battlefield and SKADE’s first official match since December when they won the European ESEA Season 35: Premier Relegation.

4Glory Esports is a relatively unknown stack of Balkan CS:GO players, who have yet to make any noise in the competitive scene outside of a top-three finish at the A1 Adria League Season 6. Most recently, they were seen competing in the second and third open qualifiers for the OMEN WGR European Challenge, where they failed to finish above ninth-16th.

Last week SKADE parted ways with their in-game leader Teodor “SPELLAN” Nikolov, which is a huge blow to their chances of solidifying themselves as a competitive second-tier team. Regardless, 4Glory are an amateur team and should not cause the experienced Bulgarian lineup too many issues.

FATE Esports will clash with the former Turkey5 lineup playing under the Sangal Esports banner in what promises to be a very one-sided affair. Sangal are heavily favoured to win, because FATE initiated a complete roster rebuild earlier this month, however, that does not necessarily mean FATE are as weak as the CSGO betting odds suggest.

The Turkish squad enter this match off a five-week-long hiatus, so some ring rust is expected and consequently sloppier gameplay. Even though we are not too high on FATE’s new project, they have some solid pieces, namely their in-game leader Nikolay “niki1” Pantaleev, as well as the ex-BLUEJAYS International duo Ivan “Rock1nG” Stratiev and Ivan “Patrick” Ivanov, who should bring enough to the table to keep this match close. Fate Esports +1.5 maps is paying around the $2.17 mark with the leading esports betting sites.

Floppy Set to Stay at Cloud9

We finally have confirmation that Ricky “?floppy?” Kemery will remain with Cloud9 in the new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive rebuild. He’s the fourth member to be signed in this period. We’re still awaiting the final two signings as GM Henry “HenryG” Greer has confirmed he’s building a six-man squad.

The decision to keep floppy on the team should prove beneficial as he’s on his way to becoming one of the best players in the US. There are mixed feelings among fans regarding the rebuild, but floppy should keep hope alive as he’s a star player.

The new Cloud9 CS: GO roster will shift from an American base to the European region.

SKADE Disqualified from ESEA MDL Season 35

It seems that every passing week brings a negative light to the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive community. Over recent weeks, several star players announced their departure from the game as they transition to Valorant.

After dozens of coaches received bans for using a bug to their advantage, some have put their rosters in jeopardy. SKADE, who were ranked fourth on the ESEA MDL Season 35 standings, are now disqualified.

During Season 34, their coach, Nikolay “?pNshr?” Paunin, used a spectator bug in several rounds when the team played against Movistar Riders. ESIC have already sanctioned him, but the news that he used the bug in the ESEA MDL competition resulted in his team’s disqualification.

SKADE vs FATE LOOT.BET/CS SEASON 7 BETTING PREVIEW

Bulgarian rivals SKADE and FATE will clash this Tuesday in the hopes of securing a place in the fifth round of LOOT.BET/CS Season 7.

SKADE began the tournament with two disappointing losses against ALTERNATE aTTaX (1-2) and PACT (1-2), but they managed to keep their heads above water with a commanding win against Wisla Krakow (2-0) last Monday.

SKADE participated at the recent Cyber.Bet Summer Cup, where they finished in fourth place after losing to FATE and Illuminar Gaming in the first round of the playoffs. Teodor “SPELLAN” Nikolov also took part at ESEA Season 34: Premier Division – Europe, where they ran 10th in the regular season and just missed the playoffs.

Their failure to enter the post-season at ESEA means SKADE lost another opportunity to claim their first CS:GO esports title since April, when they won SECTOR: MOSTBET Season 2. SPELLAN and co. are still in the running at LOOT.BET/CS S7, but they need to take down their regional rivals who have caused them headaches before.

FATE are far from a top-tier CS:GO team, but their success in recent months should not be ignored. Since the turn of the year, they have won WINNERS League – Season 3: Europe Main Division, Phoenix League Season 1 and the Cyber.Bet Summer Cup. They also finished in third-fourth place at Assembly Winter 2020.

Like SKADE, FATE also took part at ESEA Season 34: Premier Division – Europe. Unlike their compatriots, however, FATE fought their way into the playoffs with a 10-5 record and 218-175 map differential.

FATE also took a swing at cs_summit 6 Online: Europe last week, where they were placed in a tough Group B with North, Vitality and Movistar Riders. While Nikolay “niki1” Pantaleev and his team lost both fixtures against Team Vitality (0-2) and Movistar Riders (0-2) to finish last, they earned 312.5 Regional Major Rankings (RMR) points.

Looking back, FATE managed to win seven out of their last 10 matches. That run includes wins over SKADE (2-1), Nemiga Gaming (16-11), Team Singularity (16-10), Wisla Krakow (16-8), mens (W-FF), Illuminar (2-0) and HellRaisers (3-2).

SKADE hold a 5-5 record from their last 10. While they lost to Movistar Riders (24-28), ALTERNATE aTTaX (12-16), FATE (1-2), Illuminar (0-2) and CR4ZY (1-2), they also enjoyed convincing wins over Unicorns of Love (16-2), pro100 (16-5), FATE (16-13), Wisla Krakow (2-0) and AGO (16-13).

SKADE vs FATE LOOT.BET/CS SEASON 7 BETTING PREDICTIONS

Historically, FATE and SKADE tend to produce close matches, which is not surprising given these two rosters know each other well. FATE came away with a 2-1 win when they met last week, but that was an unusually one-side affair.

SKADE took the series lead with 16-10 on Dust II but got stomped into the dirt on Mirage (6-16) and Overpass (5-16). The stats suggest they deserved to lose, seeing how Viktor “Duplicate” Mitev, Blagoi “Oxygen” Dimitrov and Denislav “dennyslaw” Dimitrov had a combined average rating of 0.72 for the series.

SKADE’s entire roster is running at only 1.03 over the past three months, while FATE’s squad holds a 1.06 average rating. That margin is rather small, but FATE’s results in recent weeks are far better. They lost only one out of their last five played, while SKADE lost three.

The match odds are tight and the historical record points to a close encounter, but the form lines suggest FATE are in much better shape and should get the win.

SKADE have bolstered their CS:GO roster with the addition of Viktor “?duplicate?” Mitev and Blagoi “?Oxygen?” Dimitrov, the Norwegian esports organisation confirmed on Friday.

The newcomers replace Ivan “?Rock1nG?” Stratiev and Kostadin “?rafftu?” Turbinov, who were benched following a period of less-than-impressive results at the #HomeSweetHome tournaments and other online events.

SKADE saw plenty of success in the opening months of 2020, which included third-fourth finishes at GG.Bet Winter Cup and WINNERS League – Season 3: Europe Invite Division, fourth place at ESEA Season 33: Advanced Division – Europe and gold medals from SECTOR: MOSTBET Season 2 and ESEA Season 33: Premier Relegation – Europe.

Since securing a spot at ESEA S34 via the ESEA S33 Premier Relegation battle last month, the all-Bulgarian roster have fallen out of form and dropped 18 spots to 54th in the CS:GO esports world rankings.

That plunge comes on the back some poor results at the last few #HomeSweetHome events, with SKADE finishing 13th-16th in Week 3 and ninth-12th in the following three editions of the competition. The team also struggled at Hellcase Cup #8, where they did not make the playoffs after losing to Nemiga (1-2) in the final match of the group stage.

In a bid to escape the slump, SKADE decided to freshen up their roster with the acquisition of ex-FATE rifler duplicate and a mostly unknown talent in Oxygen, who previously played for SKADE as a stand-in for one match at LOOT.BET/CS Season 7.

By adding two young talents, SKADE hope they will “bring some much needed fresh minds into the roster and a positive vibe” as they look to re-establish themselves as the strongest Bulgarian roster – a title they lost to FATE.

SKADE CEO Kim-Erik Aanes said, “This has been something we have worked on for some time now and it was not an easy decision to make. With the changes we have made we feel like it is the optimal lineup to have in the Bulgarian scene right now and I can’t wait to see what the future brings,” said SKADE CEO Kim-Erik Aanes.

Those sentiments were echoed by SPELLAN, who said he was looking forward to working with some fresh talent.

“I feel pretty bad that our start lineup didn’t work out in the end, as Rock1nG and Rafftu are great guys, but something needed to change,” the SKADE head coach said.

“At the same time I’m extra motivated to work with the new lineup which is new as lately my motivation was not great and I believe we can achieve great things with Oxygen and duplicate as they are both really interesting young and fresh talent!”

SKADE played their first match with Oxygen and duplicate on Thursday, June 11. They crushed AGF Esports (16-8) at the WINNERS League – Season 4: Europe Invite Division, where they currently hold a 3-1 record.

Duplicate quickly proved his worth by ending the match with the second-highest rating (1.42) across both teams, while Oxygen locked in the second-lowest rating at 0.92.

SKADE’s next match is slated for Friday, June 19 at 16:00 CEST, when they will play ALTERNATE aTTaX in the ESEA Season 34: Premier Division.

SKADE vs TEAM LDLC WINNERS LEAGUE – SEASON 4: EUROPE INVITE DIVISION BETTING PREVIEW

SKADE and Team LDLC will clash for the first time in their history on Thursday in the third round of the WINNERS League: Europe Invite Division.

SKADE will look to improve upon their third-fourth finish in the previous season of the WINNERS League and obtain their first title since April, when the Bulgarians won SECTOR: MOSTBET Season 2. Although Teodor “SPELLAN” Nikolov and his team put up an impressive performance at MOSTBET, where they lost only one match throughout the whole tournament, they have struggled to show any encouraging results since.

SKADE’s best result in the past two months came at ESEA Season 33: Advanced Division – Europe, where they finished fourth. As for their results in May, SKADE finished last at #HomeSweetHome: Week 3 and SECTOR: MOSTBET Season 3, and ninth-12th in the fourth, fifth and sixth weeks of #HomeSweetHome. SPELLAN and Alex “Rainwaker” Petrov also participated at Red Bull Flick: West Europe, where they were eliminated in the first round.

SKADE enter this match with a 4-6 record from their last 10 fixtures and a 6-14 record from their last 20, which does not inspire much confidence given the ordinary quality of their opposition in that time. Although SPELLAN and co. defeated Complexity Gaming (16-14) last Wednesday in the opening match of #HomeSweetHome: Week 6, the American side are known to struggle in best-of-one (Bo1) fixtures.

Team LDLC come into this clash with two new members in Alexandre “bodyy” Pianaro and Aurélien “afroo” Drapier. The newest arrivals have replaced Logan “LOGAN” Corti and Kilian “Gringo” Garcia, who were benched last Friday after a run of poor performances.

Outside of a runner-up finish at Assembly Winter 2020 and a semi-final appearance at ESL Championnat National Summer 2020, LDLC have not seen much success since the turn of the year. The latter of those events can hardly be considered an achievement anyway, since it was a B-Tier national tournament that did not feature any strong teams besides Team Heretics.

Things have not improved for LDLC in recent weeks either. They failed to make any noise at the Hellcase Cup #8 and CS:GO Fight Night tournaments, where they were eliminated in the group stage.

It should surprise nobody that LDLC have plummeted in the CS:GO esports global rankings. They are now ranked 78th in the world, which is a far cry from their 53rd place in April and 12th place in November 2018.

SKADE vs TEAM LDLC WINNERS LEAGUE – SEASON 4: EUROPE INVITE DIVISION BETTING PREDICTIONS

Both teams have struggled of late, but the betting odds heavily favour SKADE due to Team LDLC’s disastrous performance at ESEA Season 34.

The newest additions afroo and bodyy both failed to impress in their club debut on Monday, which suggests they will need a couple of weeks to integrate. That, however, does not explain why the odds on LDLC are so high.

Ali “hAdji” Ha?nouss has played exceptionally throughout the last three months. He is averaging a 1.17 rating overall and 1.41 rating in the WINNERS League, which is far above all of his teammates and everyone on SKADE’s roster.

Additionally, SKADE enter this match on a 1-5 run on their best map, Inferno, while LDLC hold a substantial win-rate advantage on their favourite map, Dust II (67% – 43%).

Betting on LDLC to win is still a bit too risky for our liking due to the shaky performance from bodyy and afroo in their debut. However, the French squad should at least keep this one close and not lose by more than three rounds.

SKADE vs SMASH #HOMESWEETHOME: WEEK 4 BETTING PREVIEW

SKADE and SMASH Esports will begin their journey at #HomeSweetHome Week 4 this Thursday when they meet in the opening fixture of Group C.

After a runner-up finish in Week 2 and a semi-final appearance in Week 3, SMASH will look to go one step further in Week 4 and hoist their first tournament title since October, when they won LOOT.BET/CS Season 4 and the WePlay! Forge of Masters Season 2: Online Stage.

SMASH have the same roster they fielded during Week 3. Their most recent addition is Kristjan “shokz” Jakobson, who arrived on April 27. Although an unproven talent before he joined SMASH, the 22-year-old has carried his weight with a 1.06 average rating across 22 games with his new side.

SMASH’s most recent bout took place on Sunday when they faced BIG in the #HomeSweetHome Week 3 semi-finals. Although Anton “ToH1o” Georgiev’s charges started well with a 16-12 win on Dust II, they failed to keep up the tempo and were reverse swept on Overpass (13-16) and Nuke (9-16).

The final result was no great shock since BIG field Ismailcan “XANTARES” D?rtkarde?, who is widely regarded as one of the best online players in the CS:GO esports scene. However, SMASH would have been disappointed to throw away an early lead. They came close to clinching it on Overpass, where they held BIG at 13-14, but the poor form of Denis “grux” Gutaj (0.63 rating) proved costly.

SKADE were not as successful as SMASH in their previous appearances at #HomeSweetHome, where they finished fifth-eight in Week 1, ninth-12th in Week 2 and 13th-16th in Week 3. While that trend is far from encouraging, there are still a few positives we can take away from the team’s recent showings.

At the start of May, SKADE defeated Singularity (16-12) and crushed GamerLegion (16-5). While those are solid results that point to a decent second-tier team, they also show how inconsistent the Bulgarians can be. Only one day after they defeated GamerLegion, SKADE were stomped by both Team Secret (9-16) and Endpoint (0-2) at #HomeSweetHome Week 3.

SKADE have not made any personnel changes since appointing Nikolay “pNshr” Paunin as their head coach at the start of March.

Although SKADE are the higher-ranked team, we have a hard time understanding why they are the bookmakers’ favourites for this matchup.

The Bulgarian company have won only two of their last five games, while SMASH have shown a bit more with their 3-2 record. Also, the underdogs recently played a close series against BIG after defeating the likes of AGO (2-0), Nordavind (2-1) and Complexity (16-13).

These two teams have similar map pools, and we can almost guarantee that Vertigo will be banned. SKADE are very efficient on Inferno (76% win rate) and Overpass (70%), so SMASH will look to ban those two maps. That means this bout is highly likely to be played on Dust2, where both sides hold a 50% win rate.

SMASH have looked slightly better in recent weeks, while SKADE have a little more firepower in their armoury. That suggests this will be a tough match to call, so you might as well take the better odds on the outsiders.

SKADE vs ENDPOINT #HOMESWEETHOME WEEK 2 BETTING PREVIEW

SKADE and Endpoint are slated to clash this Friday in the opening match of Group D during the second week of the #HomeSweetHome CS:GO tournament.

SKADE enter Week 2 after a quarter-final appearance in Week 1. The Bulgarian squad produced an impressive run through the group stage but fell flat against Sprout, who disposed of Teodor “SPELLAN” Nikolov’s squad with a 16-11 result on Mirage and 16-12 on Inferno. Nonetheless, it’s hard to overlook SKADE’s dominant performance in their group, where they defeated Team Singularity (16-10) and reverse-swept AGO with a 16-12 win on Train and 16-9 on Mirage.

Since their last appearance at #HomeSweetHome, SKADE have maintained their form with a solid run at the ESEA MDL Season 33 Europe Relegation tournament. A closely fought 2-1 win over FATE Esports followed by another three-map win against Salamander Gaming earned SKADE a spot in the upper bracket finals, where they reverse-swept Ambush and secured a ticket for ESEA Season 34: Premier Division – Europe.

Now SKADE are set to take another swing at #HomeSweetHome, this time in Group D alongside Gambit Youngsters, Copenhagen Flames and Endpoint.

After a turbulent year which saw a total of 22 roster moves, a complete rebuild in June and the disbandment of the entire squad in November, Endpoint decided to start fresh by acquiring the ex-Phoenix core in January. That proved to be a good decision, as the team have since risen to an all-time high of 35th in the CS:GO esports world rankings.

Although Endpoint have not won a tournament since ESL Premiership – Winter 2019, they’ve produced a few solid showings this year. That includes a third-fourth finish at Europe Minor Championship – Rio 2020: Open Qualifier #3, top-six placements at DreamHack Open Anaheim 2020 and SECTOR: MOSTBET Season 2, and a runners-up finish at ESEA Season 33: Advanced Division – Europe earlier this month.

Looking back at Endpoint’s run through #HomeSweetHome Week 1, the European-mix squad got off to a slow start and lost to AGO (21-25) in the opening match. However, they quickly dusted themselves off and picked up a commanding 2-0 win over Team Singularity and later sealed a revenge win over AGO to secure a spot in the playoffs. While North bested them with a perfect 2-0 series in the quarter-finals, it’s worth noting that Endpoint took the Danes to 30 rounds on vertigo (14-16) and 29 on Train (13-16).

Endpoint also participated at ESEA MDL Season 33 Europe Relegation, where they defeated OFFSET (2-0) and Vexed Gaming (2-1) but went down to the new-look Wisla Krakow squad with defeats on Dust II (16-10) and Train (16-12).

SKADE vs ENDPOINT #HOMESWEETHOME WEEK 2 BETTING PREDICTIONS

Although SKADE (39th) sit slightly lower in the global rankings than Endpoint (36th), they are favourites on form. While the Bulgarians are on a three-match winning streak, their next opponents are regrouping after a humiliating defeat to Wisla Krakow.

Dust II should be Endpoint’s first venue of choice. It is their second-best map behind Vertigo, which SKADE will most certainly ban. This, however, could be a problem for Endpoint, as SKADE are on a four-map winning streak on Dust II and also hold a higher win rate (62% – 57%). SKADE have the advantage on every other map – especially Inferno (80%), where Endpoint have won only two out of their six matches.

With better form and a stronger map pool, SKADE should claim the spoils on Friday.

HAVU have been announced as the replacement team for SKADE at the FLASHPOINT Season 1 LAN Qualifiers due to the latter side’s failure to acquire the proper visas to travel to the United States.

The announcement surfaced on Saturday, February 29, when Denislav “dennyslaw” Dimitrov took to social media to explain the situation.

SKADE were initially advised by their legal counsel to apply for B1/B2 visas. They actually needed P1 visas, for which the Bulgarian side no longer had enough time to apply.

“It sucks that an officer’s mistake can destroy such an opportunity for a young team. With such a short amount of time, we gave it our all and tried everything that can be done even though the odds were against us,” said dennyslaw.

Despite the team’s and organisers’ attempts to rectify the situation, SKADE have been unsuccessful in their bid to obtain the needed documentation to travel to Los Angeles and compete in what might have been one of the biggest events in the organisation’s history.

“Last few days we barely slept just to try negotiating urgent interviews, refilling documents and stuff, trying to figure out how we can get express delivery for the visas so we catch our flights and etc.,” added dennyslaw.

“Sadly there is nothing we can do even though the lawyers we reached proved that the law shows we were right about choosing the b1/b2 category for a tournament that includes prize money and there was nothing wrong with the documentation at all.”

In the same post, dennyslaw also unveiled SKADE will be replaced by HAVU at the Los Angeles event, although the Finnish side placed only seventh-eighth at the European qualifiers. HAVU will be one of four CS:GO esports teams to represent the European region, besides AVEZ, Copenhagen Flames and BIG.

Lasse “ZOREE” Uronen and his squad will be seeded into Group B with Copenhagen Flames, Chaos Esports Club and Redemption POA. Their opening match at the FLASHPOINT qualifiers will be played on Tuesday, March 3 when they face off against Chaos Esports Club.

The qualifiers for the inaugural season of FLASHPOINT will run from March 3-5, featuring USD $64,000 in the prize pool as well as two tickets to the main event. There, 12 teams will duke it out for the largest slice of $1 million and the title of Season 1 FLASHPOINT champions.

The CS:GO GG.Bet Winter Cup has reached las chance stage, set to take place on 2nd January 2020. Four teams will look to secure a spot in the playoffs to get themselves one step closer to claiming a title of GG.Bet Winter Cup champions and the largest slice of US $20,000 prize pool. www.damnsnaps.com take a look at the matchups and offer our predictions alongside betting odds from ESB’s best esports bookmakers.

GG.Bet Winter Cup Last Chance Stage Betting Previews & Tips

Rocketlauncher$ vs Ambush Esports?

Rocketlauncher$ ($2.33) have had an uphill battle in the CS:GO GG.Bet Winter Cup group stage, where they struggled to make much noise, yet still edged past EXTREMUM in the decider match to earn the second seed and a meeting with Ambush Esports. The team consists of two former Team Questo players Peter “Shhhack” Belej and Michal “Emenk” Belej, who joined forces with
Pere “sausol” Solsona Saumell and two former Movistar Riders members Aitor “SOKER” Fernández and Raúl “DeathZz” Jordán.

So far this tournament, Rocketlauncher$ have had a bumpy road, with some inconsistent results, considering they lost to EXTREMUM (1-2) in the opening match of the group stage and barely made it past Team Brute (2-1), but then they followed that up with an impressive win against EXTREMUM (16-14 and 16-5) and close bout with FATE Esports (2-3).

Just like their Thursday’s opponents, Ambush Esports ($1.51) struggled to shine in the group stage, where they started strong with a 2-0 win against SJ Gaming but fell flat against Phoenix (1-2) and SKADE (1-2) to finish with a 1-2 record, which sat them at an underwhelming third place.

While not all too promising record, Ambush had their moments of greatness, as they got extremely close to defeating SKADE and even put up a solid fight against Phoenix. However, it’s easy to spot Ambush can be very inconsistent with their performances.

Out of their last 20 matches, Ambush on average lost 10 rounds in their losses, meaning they win barely 5-6 rounds in fixtures they end up losing. On the other side, in matches they win, Ambush on average lose 10.81 rounds, which suggests they are a hit-or-miss team when it comes to predicting their results.

Comparing them to Rocketlauncher$, we have one big concern for the favourites. Their best map is Inferno, where Ambush won eight out of their last 16 fixtures (50% win rate). On the other side, Rocketlauncher$ played only two fixtures on Inferno but won them both.
Furthermore, Ambush are playing with a stand-ins Danni “smF” Dyg and Sebastian “larsen” Larsen both of whom have been struggling with their performance with their new team.

All things considered, we believe this match will be much closer than what the odds suggest. Rocketlauncher$ had some iffy displays in the group stage, but the inconsistency of Ambush and their map pool leads us to believe Rocketlauncher$ have a solid chance at winning here. We believe Rocketlauncher$ can win at least one map, but with generous odds on the outright market, we will take our chances and predict Rocketlauncher$ to triumph.

EXTREMUM vs SKADE

EXTREMUM ($2.31) are entering their bout with SKADE ($1.52) as heavy underdogs which is not all too surprising, considering they have struggled with their performance throughout the group stage. Looking back, EXTREMUM defeated Rocketlauncher$ (2-1) but fell flat against FATE (1-2) and against Rocketlauncher$ (0-2) in their second meeting. While their 1-2 defeat against FATE would make it seem like EXTREMUM did a good job fighting off the first seeded team, we can’t look past the fact EXTREMUM lost map two and three 7-16 and 4-16 respectively.

SKADE on the other side had a slightly better run in their group stage venture, where they started with a 0-2 loss to Phoenix, but later found their rhythm as they defeated Ambush (2-1), SJ Gaming (2-1) and put up a solid fight in a rematch against Phoenix (2-3). While SKADE had their moments, we are a bit concerned with their tendency to drop at least one map, however, we have to consider that 28.6% of their last 35 matches ended in 2-0 win.

Based on the map pool of the two teams we predict SKADE will pick Overpass, where EXTREMUM hold onto a disastrous 17% win rate and are on a five-game losing streak. EXTREMUM on the other side will most likely pick Mirage where they are holding a 57% win rate, however, it’s worth noting SKADE won 62% of their matches on Mirage. The map pool clearly points towards a dominant win for SKADE as they simply don’t have a weak map EXTREMUM could exploit. As we see it SKADE should win and a clean sweep is a very likely outcome.

  • Prediction: SKADE -1.5 maps
  • Odds: +147 at BetOnline
