]]>Isurus made the announcement after disclosing that they would no longer field a CS:GO squad. This will be the first time in more than half a decade that the Argentinian team will be without a roster for CS:GO.
“After months of analysis and various evaluations, Isurus will pause its operations regarding CS:GO in 2023. We feel that the competitive CS:GO ecosystem is far from the objectives that Isurus has as an organization in the short term. We believe that it is the best decision at the moment, both for the players and for the club,” Isurus’ statement read.
The organization also expressed confidence that the CS:GO roster would continue to perform to the best of their ability.
“Regarding the roster, their continuity is already guaranteed and we are sure that they will continue to demonstrate their highest level,” Isurus added.
Ahead of BESTIA’s announcement, the squad participated in the South American qualifiers for IEM Brazil as ex-Isurus. They were, however, unable to move to the next phase of the tournament and ended in 9th-16th place. Isurus’ statement implies that the quintet will continue to play as a team, at least for a while.
The Argentinian organization’s CEO, Facundo “Kala” Calabró, further revealed that they would continue supporting the squad with gaming advice and management.
“When all parties work towards the same goal, the future is always hopeful, and being able to continue working on the project through sports advice and management is extremely gratifying,” he said.
BESTIA was founded by Argentina poker player and rapper Alejandro Andrés “Papo” Lococo. During a Twitch broadcast after Isurus’ announcement, Papo disclosed that the acquisition was not planned, but he took the opportunity when he discovered that the roster was dissolving.
“I spoke with mvk and pino, I spoke with Kala from Isurus when I found out that their CS:GO roster was dissolving and the opportunity presented to me to create my own dream team. Starting from today, from this very moment, BESTIA is competing in CS:GO,” Papo said.
The move allowed BESTIA to acquire Nicolás “?Noktse?” Dávila, Ignacio “?meyern?” Meyer, ?Luken?, Marcos “?deco?”Amato, and Luciano “?luchov?” Herrera. The players, under BESTIA’s banner, will participate in the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023’s South American qualifier circuit. The event’s first set of open qualifiers kicked off on February 14.

]]>Before the World Championship opening match began, esports fans had to wait for almost thirty minutes for an undisclosed reason for things to kick off in high gear. The rest of the game was riddled with shorter unjustified pauses, particularly after the ban and picks phase began.
Fans could do little but wait for the breaks to come to an end, but their already built-up anticipation was met with another textbook match. Besides two scenarios, the MAD Lions and Isurus’ game did not have any exhilarating moments and moved at a slow pace.
One minute into the game, MAD Lions were able to get an impressive first blood from Son “Jelly” Ho-gyeong, their opponent’s support. The gold and kills gap between the two teams kept increasing after MAD Lions swiftly countered Isurus’ proactive plays, which included their jungler, Jesús “Grell” Loya’s invasion of Javier “Elyoya” Prades’ jungle.
Isurus soon got one over the Spanish franchise and caught them after a gank in the top lane, overstaying on the team’s side of the map. MAD Lions remained ahead while their Latin American counterparts attempted to push themselves to gain an advantage.
Isurus were eventually able to get ahead by using their crowd controlling and AOE damage combination, which trapped and took down MAD LIONS, leading to the first Baron’s spawning. The fans of the Argentine franchise in the Arena Esports Stadium seemed excited by the development, but their excitement was short-lived as MAD Lions did not stay down for long.
The European squad continued to widen the lead between the two teams as a result of their vision control on the map, despite how the first Baron fight turned out. Isurus, on the other hand, had their lanes being pushed and attempted another tactic to stay in the game. The team tried to start a fight against their opponents to place them in an advantageous position to reach the MAD Lions, but ultimately failed.
Isurus had to put up a defense for the towers of their base after the MAD Lions took down their jungler and destroyed the game’s second Baron.
The match between the two teams ended in front of the fourth dragon’s pit, where MAD Lions faced off and wiped out Isurus’ entire team in a fight. The European team secured victory in the match after pushing past their opponent’s nexus via the efforts of MAD Lions’ buffed minions.
In their second fixture of the day, MAD Lions went up against DenizBank ?stanbul Wildcats, who are representing Turkey. The Spanish franchise triumphed over their opponents, taking their rightful position on top in the LoL Play-In Group B standings.
The losers of the match, Isurus, are not out of the tournament yet and will face off against Saigon Buffalo Esports in their match tomorrow. Despite being heavy underdogs on the top esports betting sites with odds pegged at $3.30, fans of the franchise will be on hand to cheer Isurus to victory.

]]>It wasn’t too long ago that Cloud9 announced they’d be rebuilding the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster. Now, a couple of weeks later, Henry “HenryG” Greer has announced the third player.
The third page in the Cloud9 roster rebuild is ?zgur “woxic” Eker, formerly of mousesports. The Turkish AWPer has some impressive accomplishments to his name.
Woxic was listed as the 12th best CS: GO esports player in the world last year and won the MVP award at the CS: GO Asia Championship, where he led his team to the finals.
To celebrate, HenryG also announced a merchandise collaboration between Woxic and Cloud9 to welcome the Turkish fanbase.
JD Gaming are among the favorites to win the League of Legends World Championship, which starts in a couple of days. The Chinese team have enjoyed an incredible year, due in no small part to jungler Seo “Kanavi” Jin-hyeok and bot laner Lee “LokeN” Dong-wook.
The pair were set to end their contracts in November, but JD Gaming have decided to extend their deals for at least another year.
Down in South Arica, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive fans and players were treated to a fantastic weekend at ROG Invitational II: Solider of Fortune. The top two teams in the region, ATK Arena and Goliath Gaming, placed first and second with no surprises, but the brightest stars of the weekend were Royalty Esports.
Royalty lost to ATK in the upper-bracket semi-finals and Goliath in the lower-bracket finals, but they put on a show-stopping performance throughout the tournament and defeated Energy Esports en route to an impressive third-place finish.
Ju? “Crownshot” Maru?i?’s contract with SK Gaming is coming to an end in November, but he is already looking towards his next venture. He’s been permitted by SK to explore his future until his contract is terminated.
Crownshot let his fans and possible recruiters know that he’s on the market and is particularly interested in offers from the LoL Championship Series (LCS) and LoL European Championship (LEC). It’s more likely that an LCS team will add him to their roster, as most LEC squads are already set with a bot laner for the upcoming season.
A couple of days ago, Isurus’ 1962 announced that he’d be taking the bench for personal reasons. It hasn’t taken the team long to find a replacement, as Jonathan “?JonY BoY?” Mu?oz has already signed on.
JonY BoY spent two years in Spain competing for x6tence but was eager to join a local team. Now that Isurus have a full active roster, they’ll begin training for the upcoming Tribo to Major campaign.
