However, amidst the anticipation surrounding this monumental event, there has been criticism from various quarters within the esports community.
Some stakeholders have raised concerns about the Esports World Cup being hosted in Saudi Arabia, citing the country’s human rights record and its stance on LGBTQ+ rights.
This criticism has led to discussions about the concept of “esportswashing,” wherein countries use esports events to improve their public image despite ongoing controversies.
The partnership between the Esports World Cup and the Esports Awards has also stirred controversy, prompting individuals like PGLs CEO Silviu Stroie to step down from their roles in protest.
Nevertheless, the organizers of the Esports World Cup remain committed to delivering a world-class event, with CEO Ralf Reichert expressing excitement about welcoming Call of Duty athletes and fans to Riyadh.
With the event’s total prize pool exceeding $33 million, it’s poised to be a spectacle of competitive excellence and esports fandom, albeit amidst ongoing discussions about its geopolitical implications.

The popular Solo-Yolo event will also make a comeback in the tournament. During the event, around 120 gamers will enter Caldera as solos in order to face off against each other for the $100,000 prize money.

]]>The post Metaphor leaks map and gameplay information on Call of Duty Warzone 2 appeared first on Esport Bet.
]]>The previous leak revealed that the game would be globally launched on November 16, just a few weeks from the Call of Duty: Warfare 2 launch date on October 28. Metaphor revealed that the game would feature a new map, and he claimed to have seen it.
The rumored map was shown with every POI and was revealed to the COD community by Tom Henderson, an industry insider. Swimming will reportedly be introduced with the game and be an essential transversal method for players in their new experience.
Metaphor previously played professionally in League of Legends and is a popular name in the Call of Duty community. In a Reddit post, the player claimed he saw the famed new map and had experienced a match against bots.
During his informative session, he reportedly called the new Warzone 2 map “beautiful.” After giving details about the map, Metaphor went in to give replies to some important questions by interested parties.
He said, “I have seen gameplay of Multiplayer/DMZ/ Warzone 2 and can confirm it looks gorgeous visually, the buildings are detailed on the inside better, and the movement is more grounded.”
The streamer was asked about the skill level as well as gameplay of Warzone 2 and explained that he witnessed people battle against bots in the difficulty setting while standard difficulty was used for DMZ.
Metaphor also notably said that the new COD Warzone iteration would have no game sliding feature. The lack of the sliding feature reportedly gave it the feel of Call of Duty 4. The former League of Legends pro further claimed that he saw “3 unconfirmed snipers” in the gameplay, and it was satisfactory.
Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer released a trailer on August 11 that showed a new map, Farm 18. Towards the end of the trailer, fans were able to see a snippet of the new games gunplay, and the AR displayed seemed to have an impressive recoil. However, Metaphor spoke on gunplay and asserted that the high AR recoil in the trailer was entirely a sham.
He said, “The recoil you saw in the trailer they released was fake; thats all I will say.”
The Warzone streamer was also asked how the new map looked and if it had any resemblance to Verdansk. While describing it, Metaphor said the map resembled a combination of Blackout and Caldera.
Activision and Infinity Ward have validated neither the previously leaked information nor Metaphors claims, so fans are not advised to take the news to heart. However, with the speedy approach of Warzones rumored release date, more information will most likely be shared, and the validity of the report will be ascertained.

]]>The post Metaphor cops second CoD Warzone shadow-ban appeared first on Esport Bet.
]]>The new anti-cheat software in Warzone called Ricochet is not flawless when it comes to constantly banning troll players and cheaters from the game. On PCs, it’s a kernel-level driver that monitors gaming and background processes for anti-cheating. These metrics help anti-cheat analysts assess if a player is utilizing improper third-party tools.
In this particular incident, Metaphor has been banned from the game more than once due to a needless shadow ban imposed by the anti-cheat system. In this ban, players are not prevented from playing Call of Duty: Warzone; rather, they are sent to separate lobbies that are different from the standard game mode.
A player will find that any lobby they play in after that is packed with other players who have also been identified by the anti-cheat system. Activision assures that all hackers and cheats are playing together with this approach, leaving the regular lobbies that are played by honest gamers to play with themselves.
In recent years, Metaphor has become one of the most well-liked content creators on Twitch. When the streamer first began his profession in 2011, he was playing Call of Duty: Black Ops and posting footage of his gameplay to his channel on YouTube. After that, in 2015, he joined Twitch and began streaming himself playing League of Legends for an extended period of time. In the year 2020, however, Metaphor began broadcasting videos related to CoD in May of 2020, when Warzone was launched. This was the series that brought him his claim to fame.
Activision’s Call of Duty: Battle Royale has never lacked competent and authentic content creators since the game’s initial release in 2020 when Warzone was made available to players. Due to the fact that he masters the keyboard and mouse combination on PCs, Metaphor is revered among the highly followed creators on the internet.
For the past two years, Metaphor has focused all of his attention on his involvement in the game. Following the publication of a large number of gameplay videos on his channel, he has earned a reputation for possessing extraordinary abilities in the game. He has acknowledged earning about 500 kills every day on-stream and occasionally off-stream combined.
But given the latest incident with Activision, it would appear that he is being treated poorly by the developers in reference to the ban. Metaphor has been an essential part of the Warzone community for a considerable amount of time at this point. Since the video was published, the Activision software team has not provided a response to any of this information. Therefore, it is possible that it will be some time before he is unbanned.
In the initial video he posted about the ban, he expressed surprise and dismay at how little assistance he received from the game’s developers in his quest to get unbanned. He said he was stunned by the situation.
A Twitter post by him read: “atleast whenever i get shadow banned I get a free banger on yt, sucks that @Activision has terrible employees and a worthless reporting system though. hopefully they can fix something soon because im not the only one getting shadowed, and im definitely not cheating.?”
