After being sent to the lower bracket by nouns before the playoffs started, the reigning champions Team Spirit fought to stay in The International 2024 (TI13) today before being eliminated in the final series of the day.

Their opponents, G2xiG, had struggled throughout the year, and their shaky performance against Tundra Esports in the group stage reflected their inconsistency.

The two Dota 2 teams had met twice before in 2024, with each securing a win, but with tournament lives on the line at TI13, the stakes were much higher.

Despite expectations of a close series, Game 1 was a dominant showing from Team Spirit, led by Denis “Larl” Sigitov’s unkillable Invoker.

His early rotations gave Spirit complete map control, leaving G2xiG scrambling.

Unable to recover, G2xiG managed just five kills over 35 minutes, as Spirit cruised to victory, bringing them one step closer to the main event.

Game 2 followed a similar pattern.

Spirit’s rotations and aggressive play left G2xiG behind early, and despite attempts to fight back, the Chinese team couldn’t find their footing.

After just over 30 minutes, they conceded, ending their TI 2024 run with a disappointing exit.

Team Spirit, on the other hand, advanced to face Xtreme Gaming in the next round of the lower bracket.

Meanwhile, in the first round of the playoff lower bracket, Heroic and beastcoast clashed in an all-South American showdown.

Heroic, whose roster featured several former beastcoast players, emerged victorious after a hard-fought best-of-three, knocking out their regional rivals.

The rivalry had been intense all year, but Heroic had consistently outperformed beastcoast, winning all six of their prior encounters before TI 2024.

Both teams had disappointing starts at TI, with Heroic finishing fourth in Group A and beastcoast going winless in Group D.

Despite finally securing a win in Game 1, beastcoast couldn’t hold off Heroic, who secured a 2-1 victory.

Beastcoast exited TI in 13th-16th place, taking home over $37,000, while Heroic guaranteed a top-12 finish.

Heroic then faced Aurora in the next lower bracket round.

Aurora, fresh off an upset victory in the seeding decider against Team Zero, had been quickly dropped to the lower bracket by Cloud9.

In Game 1, Heroic dismantled Aurora with a strong performance from Héctor “K1” Rodríguez’s Bristleback, taking a quick 30-minute win.

Aurora fought back in Game 2, with a clutch play by Worawit “Q” Mekchai at Roshan and Artem “lorenof” Melnick’s dominant Timbersaw leading them to victory.

In the deciding Game 3, Aurora’s Tusk helped them secure a late-game win after a back-and-forth match, sending Heroic home in 9-12th place.

Team Spirit, on the other hand, saw their TI 2024 journey end in the lower bracket after a loss to Xtreme Gaming.

Despite winning the first game, XG’s tempo drafts and strong laning took control of the series, securing their victory and eliminating Spirit in 9-12th place.

The defeat marked another challenging TI for Spirit, who struggled after their 2021 championship win, only to reclaim the Aegis in 2023.

South American esports organization, Beastcoast officially parted ways with their Dota 2 player Héctor “K1” Rodríguez on June 25, just days ahead of the Bali Major 2023.

K1 started playing with Beastcoast towards the end of 2019 and was a key factor in the majority of their accomplishments during his stint with the team. The player took a mental health break on May 24 and has been away from the competitive scene since.

In a Twitter post, Beastcoast revealed that the decision to part ways was mutual and thanked the player for his contribution to the team.

“Today we’ve made a difficult but mutual decision to part ways with an incredible player and teammate, [K1]. Thank you for being a pillar of strength and inspiration for not only Beastcoast, but the Dota 2 community. Wishing you a bright future ahead!” Beastcoast wrote.

The esports organization’s tweet was followed up by an announcement from K1, asking interested teams in any region to reach out to him. The player also mentioned his willingness to leave the South American region if the situation arises.

With K1 on the squad, Beastcoast were able to record a number of successes, like finishing in top eight in The International 2022. The team continued their impressive performance in 2023, beating out other squads in the Dota Pro Circuit Division I season.

During K1’s time away, Beastcoast fielded David “Parker” Nicho Flores in his place. The player will continue with Beastcoast in the Bali Major 2023, set for Thursday, June 29.

Prior to joining Beastcoast, Parker played with teams like Infinity, Infamous, and Ravens over the past few years. Following K1’s departure, Parker represented Beastcoast towards the end of the ESL Pro Tour event, DreamLeague Season 20.

The Bali Major 2023 will be Parker’s first international tournament since competing in The International 11’s last-chance qualifier with Infamous. The event’s group stage will pit Beastcoast against top-tier teams like Team Liquid, Team Aster, Shopify Rebellion, and Tundra.

The move may also have an impact on Beastcoast’s invite spot to this year’s iteration of The International in October. Beastcoast will reportedly lose 20% of their DPC points due to K1’s departure, resulting in their drop to 11th overall.

Only the top 12 teams are handed direct invites to TI, meaning Beastcoast are just two positions away from missing the free invite. Their decision to part ways with K1 will likely come under review if the team ends up dropping lower than the top 12.

With K1 gone, Beastcoast currently consists of Parker, Gonzalo “DarkMago” Herrera, Elvis “Scofield” Pe?a, Steven “StingeR” Vargas, and Rafael “Sacred” Yonatan.

North America League Stage 1 comes to a close on Wednesday, April 5, with the final two fixtures to determine which three Rainbow Six Siege teams will advance to BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen. Here are our predictions for Spacestation Gaming vs beastcoast and M80 vs DarkZero Esports.

SPACESTATION GAMING vs BEASTCOAST R6S BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: SSG -277.78 at BetOnline | beastcoast +200 at BetOnline
When: April 5, 2023 | 11:00 PDT
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/rainbow6)

Spacestation Gaming crashed out of the upper bracket with a heavy 0-2 loss against M80, who beat them 7-3 on Bank and 7-0 on Theme Park. Until that match, SSG had looked good, albeit with a few question marks.

Spacestation are fairly inconsistent and can look very good one day but terrible the next. So even though they look like the clear favourites against beastcoast on paper, it’s fair to question the offered R6S betting odds.

Beastcoast made quick work of Oxygen Esports (2-0) in the opening round of the second phase but then lost against the league favourites, DarkZero Esports (1-2). DarkZero beat beastcoast handily, but Franklyn “VertcL” Cordero and co. showed some resistance on the second map, so we won’t be too harsh on them.

Priced at -277.78 with BetOnline, Spacestation Gaming are expected to dominate beastcoast, but they’re 0-1 down in the head-to-head (7-8 on March 16) and aren’t the most consistent team. So as much as this is Spacestation’s game to lose, we prefer the outsiders at the offered esports betting odds.

M80 vs DARKZERO ESPORTS R6S BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: M80 +137 at BetOnline | DZ -188.68 at BetOnline
When: April 5, 2023 | 14:30 PDT
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/rainbow6)

The clash between M80 and DarkZero doesn’t have any implications for BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen qualification, but there’s a lot of money and Six Invitational points on the line, with the winner taking home $32,000 and 20 qualification points more.

M80 enter the fixture as +137 underdogs with the top esports betting sites, which isn’t too shocking considering they finished the group stage in sixth place (3-0-1-3) and are 0-1 down in the head-to-head. However, their loss against DarkZero Esports was a very close 7-8, and they’ve looked better in the opening two rounds of the second phase – beating Soniqs (2-1) and Spacestation Gaming (2-0).

Even though M80 bounced back from their unconvincing performance in the group stage, DarkZero Esports are still considered the stronger team heading into the final round of NAL 2023 Stage 1. That sounds fair, and if Roberto “Panbazou” Feliciano can keep performing at the level he has shown recently, M80 will have a hard time coming out ahead.

Still, M80 have the tools to deal with everything DarkZero can throw at them, especially with the form Arthur “GMZ” Oliveira has shown across the last two series. M80 can also count on the former Six Berlin Major champion William “Spoit” L?fstedt to lead the charge.

This looks like a coin-flip match, so we’ll gladly take M80 at plus money.

Beastcoast have revealed their new Dota 2 roster with the 2022 season coming to an end. The South American esports outfit made the announcement on November 3 in anticipation for the 2023 season.

The publication of the new roster has stirred a lot of conversations, seemingly because the team’s previous roster was one of the longest-standing rosters in the Dota 2 competitive scene.

In a bid to revamp the longtime five-man roster, former players Adrian “Wisper” Cespedes Dobles and Jean “C.Smile” Pierre Gonzales, who have been with the team since October 2019, parted ways with the organization. Beastcoast have replaced the departing players with former members of Thunder Awaken’s lineup, Herrera “DarkMago” Gonzalo and Rafael “Sacred” Yonatan.

Both players from Thunder Awaken were among the players who beat South America’s record for the highest ranking at TI11 by finishing sixth. Thunder Awaken displayed incredible Dota 2 throughout the series, coming very close to making it into the top 4, but ultimately falling short to Team Liquid in a match that was fiercely contested.

Beastcoast followed with a solid eighth-place finish at TI11 in Singapore. These performances were capped as the greatest performance for South America in the history of The International Championships.

After having such a successful run, one would imagine that the teams will continue to work together and capitalize on their existing vigor. Shortly after this milestone, the team announced its revamped roster.

DarkMago, who is the latest addition to the Beastcoast lineup, has played for countless esports outfits before joining the Thunder Awaken team in October 2021. The Peruvian-born player, in no particular order, has played for Vicious Gaming, Pacific eSports, Omega Gaming, and more. He has also had a couple of landmark achievements up his sleeve, as he was named the player with the highest average kills per game with 9.83 at the Season 2 2021 DPC SA Upper Division.

On the other hand, Sacred, who has also been a longtime teammate of DarkMago, has played for a long list of teams such as Infamous, Incubus Club, and more. The offlaner has represented each of his teams to achieve profound wins in games. Early this year, alongside his teammates in Thunder Awakening, they earned a first-place finish at the Tier 2 of the BTS Pro Series Season 10: Americas.

Prior to the organization’s public announcement on the new roster, their captain, Steven “StingeR” Mamani, who is still present on the current roster, had leaked the names of the new signees last week. He also expressed his delight at still representing the team in the forthcoming season.

“I’m really excited to play this season. I have a lot of faith and trust in this team. I believe our discipline will set us apart from other teams. This new season format is much improved and we will fit perfectly for it,” he said.

Following the announcement of the roster, Beastcoast General Manager, Colin Bashor, welcomed their new players and acknowledged their incredible performance in the TI. He also stated their delight to maintain their captain, StingeR, in the new roster.

“We’re back in South America for a 4th year of Dota! To help continue our legacy as the strongest team in the region, we’re excited to announce the signing of Dark Mago and Sacred. Both players had incredible TI performances, and we’re looking forward to their significant contributions to the team. In addition to the new signings, we’re happy to reaffirm Stinger as our team captain. Stinger has been drafting for us since the beginning and has been a fantastic leader, so this was an easy decision to make,” Bashor said.

Following a seventh-place finish in Rainbow Six North American League Stage 2, Beastcoast have opted to make a few changes to their roster. It is the first change since they put together the roster to start the year.

Adam “Drip” Kolodkin is the unlucky player, as he is now off the team’s active roster. Beastcoast made the announcement via their official Twitter page, thanking the Support for his contributions thus far.

“All good things must come to an end. We’re moving @DripBoolin off of our active R6 Roster. We thank Drip for his continuous hard work and dedication throughout this year in the R6NAL. Please stay tuned for more updates regarding the BCR6 roster, and Drip’s future,” the tweet said.

Drip joined Beastcoast in March 2022, playing only two splits before being benched. In the NAL Stage 1, they finished sixth and missed out on the Charlotte Six Major.

The just-concluded NAL Stage 2 was no different, as Beastcoast finished seventh in the standings. In nine games, they managed only four victories and finished with 13 points.

Drip had the fourth-worst rating in the NAL, which could have been a reason for his dismissal. Meanwhile, it is worth stating that he had a better rating than his teammate Anthony “AnthonyMGS” Gomez.

Although the 22-year-old is new to tier one scene, he is a well-known name in NA due to his exploits in several tier two rosters. He was part of the ’92 Dream Team that won the 2019 NA Challenger League, earning a spot in the upcoming Pro League.

Unfortunately, he was released from the team before he had a chance to make his professional debut.

Although the NAL season ended last week, this makes only the second roster change. A few days ago, Spacestation Gaming parted ways with Alexander “Skys” Magor.

Beastcoast still have a chance to turn their year around and qualify for the 2023 Six Invitational. However, they would have to go on an incredible run in Stage 3 and the November major.

As things stand, they are two spots off the top 15 teams in the SI global standings. If they finish in the top four of Stage 3 and the November Major, they would have a decent chance of qualification.

The NAL Stage 3 will commence on September 13. With Beastcoast not participating in any other event, they have ample time to find a suitable replacement and re-strategize.

Drip’s future is currently uncertain, as the organization promised to provide an update soon. While he is benched, there is a chance he might join another team before the start of Stage 3.

After hitting all three of our betting tips for Rainbow Six Siege North American League (NAL) 2022 Stage 1 last Tuesday, Esporbet.com returns with more betting picks for this week.

Here are our selections for TSM vs beastcoast and XSET vs DarkZero Esports, with top esports betting odds courtesy of the best esports betting sites.

TSM vs Beastcoast Rainbow Six Siege BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: TSM +122 @ BetOnline | Beastcoast -175.44 @ BetOnline
When: April 19, 2022 | 13:00 PDT
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/rainbow6)

It would be one thing if TSM were blowing leads and slipping in close games, but they are struggling quite severely and don’t look like a team that lifted the Hammer just three months ago. With a 1-0-1-4 record, TSM are in a dire spot, and they have yet to show any signs of life.

Perhaps this is a prime example of the “Six Invitational hangover”, but whatever the cause for their poor showings might be, TSM don’t look too dangerous.

They have lost four straight games ahead of this bout, including against Mirage (5-7), Spacestatuon Gaming (6-8), DarkZero Esports (4-7), and Astralis (1-7).

Beastcoast are the complete opposite as a team no one expected much from, yet they’re playing surprisingly well. Admittedly, they are 1-2 across their last three outings, but they have a win against Spacestation (7-5).

Talent-wise, you should still favour TSM here, but this is a very winnable match for beastcoast, who have looked much better than the reigning SI champions across the last couple of weeks. Beastcoast to win two maps to spare is worth a wager at the offered betting odds.

Prediction: Beastcoast -1.5 maps – -138.89 at BetOnline

Xset vs Darkzero Esports Rainbow Six Siege BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: XSET +110 @ BetOnline | DarkZero -151.52 @ BetOnline
When: April 19, 2022 | 14:30 PDT
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/rainbow6)

XSET had a rough start to the tournament, losing against Spacestation Gaming (3-7) and TSM (3-7), but they have since gone unbeaten with wins against Soniqs (7-0), Parabellum Esports (7-1), beastcoast (7-3), and Mirage (7-2). XSET are on a tear, and as we head into the final week of action, the only question is how long will their run last?

DarkZero Esports are 3-1-1-1 with 12 points and a 2-1 run across the last week. They lost against Astralis (6-8) at the start of the month but have since beaten TSM (7-4) and Soniqs (7-4), which was expected.

DarkZero are priced as favourites for this bout which seems fair since they are one of the top North American Rainbow Six Siege esports teams.

However, they’re not a good bet at -151.52 against the in-form XSET.

We expect a close match, but at the offered R6S betting odds, we have to side with XSET to secure their fifth consecutive win.

Prediction: XSET to win – +110 at BetOnline.

?The Dota 2 esports betting odds for this match seem to be set based on brand value alone and make completely no sense. Infamous and Latam Defenders share the same 1-4 record four weeks into the tournament, which clearly shows there is not a lot to separate them, yet the odds suggest otherwise.

Even though there are arguments to be made that Infamous are individually stronger, there is no way their implied probability to win should be anywhere near 88.5% with the way they’ve been playing of late. There is not much to say about this except that esports bookmakers have made a mistake, and we will gladly take advantage of it.

Despite their superb record, we still believe the odds offered on NoPing are way too high for a fixture in this league. It’s also worth noting that ex-paiN Gaming carry William “hFn” Medeiros will stand in for Juan Carlos “Mingatte” Mamani, so it’s not like NoPing lack the quality required to compete with the league frontrunners.

Their next opponents, Thunder Predator, are 2-1 after a 0-2 loss against Infamous and triumphs against Team Unknown (2-1) and SG e-sports (2-0).

Beastcoast are in better shape, but we have to consider Thunder Predator have won 13 out of 22 head-to-head meetings (13-2-6), including a 6-2-1 run since September. We will trust TP’s stronger head-to-head record over beastcoast’s insignificantly better form.

?This will mark EgoBoys’ second clash with Team Unknown of 2021 and their ninth since February 2020. These meetings have proved to be very one-sided, with Team Unknown securing all but two: a 0-2 loss last August and a 1-1 stalemate in November.

EgoBoys and Team Unknown last met just under a month ago during the OGA DPC qualifiers, where Unknown won 1-0 with over 20k net worth lead and 33-13 in kills. EgoBoys have since played five games and won three of them, albeit only against NoPing Esports, Latam Defenders and Infinity Esports, which are not particularly strong squads.

Team Unknown are in great shape (7-3), and while there is a chance they might slip up again, the Dota 2 betting odds on the map handicap are too generous for us to pass on.

Adio Chula Ends Spag and Sons Dominance

During five weeks of the Oceanic Esports Dota League Season 2, Spag and Sons have dominated. In the opening weeks, the team won most of their matches and drew a couple. The top results have them ranked at the top of the standings.

However, their total dominance has come to an end as Adio Chula, ranked third, beat them 2-0 in week six of the Oceanic Esports Dota League. The victory can be attributed to the latest roster recruit Buzzkin of C’s Better. The two teams traded players as GACHI replaced Buzzkin at C’s Better.

The addition of Buzzkin is proving to be an advantage to Adio Chula. Before they defeated Spag and Sons, they dominated Power of Friendship in back-to-back meetings. If they keep up with this performance, they could overtake Spag and Sons and end on the top.
